Typical Pack Activities
Title Description
Monthy Pack Meetings  Each month, all of the boys and their families gather for a time of recognizing achievements, songs, and a chance for dens to perform in some way. Information about upcoming events is often shared at these meetings as well. Meetings are held in the Middle School Atrium on Saturday afternoons.
Weekly Den Meetings  Boys meet with their grade-level dens to work on activities or go on short field trips. These meetings usually take place once every week or two and often are scheduled around the PTA sports on Saturdays. Many dens will meet at a room at the school.
Pack Registration Event  New and returning boys to our Pack come together at this event to have some fun and get registered for the year. Parents are asked to come to this meeting since a lot of information will be shared.
Pumpkin Carving  As part of our October Pack meeting, the boys bring pumpkins and use Pack-owned carving tools (and resident expertise!) to carve their pumpkins. For some this is a first-time activity!
Winter Fun Swim  We break up the long winter by acting like polar bears and heading to the SFS pool for Scout-related swimming activities. Boys have a chance to earn belt loops and work on rank-related requirements.
Blue and Gold Banquet  The annual celebration of Scouting is held in February. This is a special dinner for our Pack when we celebrate the many accomplishments of our boys.
Fellers' Bake Off  Usually held in March, this event gives the boys and their fathers (or other male members!) a chance to get in the kitchen and create a work of art. The cakes will be auctioned off and proceeds going to a charity of the Pack's choosing.
Pinewood Derby  Probably the favorite event for any boy ever involved in Cub Scouts! Boys create a car from a block of wood and then race them on a wooden track. We award both speed and creative designs for this race.
Cub Scout Day Camp  The Korea District plans a great day of theme-related activities for our Cub Scouts to enjoy. This event is usually held in April on the Yongsan Army post. There is a fee involved.
Pack Campout  In May or early June, our Pack head out to the wilderness (ok--maybe it's more like a large open field with a few trees!) and pitches tents to get a taste of old-fashioned camping. Boys help cook meals and participate in both Pack and den activities. This usually involves a two-night stay.
